Melanie is a fully licensed Master Clinical Social Worker with a profound specialization in therapy practice and extensive experience across private practice, hospital, and school settings.
With a commitment to evidence-based treatment and compassionate care, Melanie integrates a range of therapeutic modalities- including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and trauma-informed interventions- to effectively address issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress.
In hospital settings, Melanie collaborates with interdisciplinary medical teams to provide holistic psychosocial support for patients navigating complex health and social challenges.
Her work in schools further underscores a dedication promoting mental wellness among youth, utilizing tailored strategies to assist and support students to overcome behavioral difficulties and academic stress while fostering resilience.
Melanie is also a Special Education Services Provider, conducting evaluations and administering various assessments for suspected and/or identified disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Impairment, Cognitive Impairment, and Other Health Impairment.

Melanie earned a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, and a Master of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Tennessee State University. Her career is centered on specialized therapy practices in diverse clinical settings with a holistic, evidence-based approach to mental health care. Her professional experience expands across an array of private and public agency departments including the State of Tennessee Department of Treasury, the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit Public Schools Community District and the John D. Dingell United States Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
